Welcome!

Dear Workshop Participants,

Welcome to the Coming to Attention Blog – a place where we can share and exchange ideas in preparation for the workshop that was originally scheduled to take place in June. Due to the Covid-19 situation we have had to delay the proceedings. We are now negotiating an alternative date and would love to have your feedback and ideas.

The workshop is envisioned as a collbaborative venture through and through. To this end I would ask that you look through the CFP page and add, where it is possible to do so at the bottom, your provisional title and abstract. These can be tentative – I’m happy for you to hone your ideas and play with them over the coming months as you start to get a sense of what others plan to offer. But do put something up there soon – even a title or a string of sentences. This will allow us to develop our ideas together.

An additional request I would like to make is that you add to the resources page. There are two options here – both your own publications and others’. It would be good to construct a bibliography so that we can start to become acquainted with each others’ work and gradually create a shared lexicon.

Please stay in touch – let’s get a conversation going.

And do remember to send in information on your flight costs and to notify me whether you’re going to be staying in a hotel in town or on campus just so we can adjust our reservation at Beit Maiersdorf (on campus) accordingly.

Note also that the blog contains information on your planned visit to Israel – and I invite you to browse through the various pages at your leisure.

Thanks again to all of you for your willingness to participate in this worthy venture. Looking forward to seeing you all in Jerusalem in June.

Yael
